Overall Objective:
To improve the socio-economic status of the population of Fayoum
Specific Objective:
Promote and develop the eco-tourist sector in the Governorate of
Fayoum for the creation of employment opportunities, reduce poverty and
protect the local natural and cultural patrimony.
Project Description:
 The
project intends to develop and promote eco-tourism in Al Fayoum trough
the following interventions:

Training the
Egyptian institutional framework operating for the protection and
management of the natural and cultural patrimony and for the
development of the tourist sector.

Training and
introduction to enterprise for small local entrepreneurs who intend to
operate in the eco-tourist sector (tour guides, artisans etc…)

Awareness campaigns
addressed to the local population, stressing the importance of
eco-tourism as a means for socio-economic development.

Promoting Al-Fayoum
as a site for eco-tourism in the national and international markets.
