Description
of the project:
The principle
objective is to enhance the role of women in
preserving and developing Egyptian cultural heritage in the
following domains:
-
traditional craftsmanship,
-
oral traditions, expressions, proverbs
-
performing arts.
The project
aims is to initiate the safeguarding of traditional arts and
handicrafts against the threat of industrial standardization.
Another major goal is the economic empowerment of women
encouraging entrepreneurship and the development of small scale
enterprises in order to create employment to women living in
underserved regions and villages. Moreover, training,
networking, dissemination and publications will be carried out.
