Objective: Providing concrete support to the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency in the framework of the National Environmental Action Plan.

Description of the project:

The Environmental Programme consists of five components that aim at improving the operative capacity of the EEAA through diverse interventions in aiming at protecting and safeguarding the environmental and cultural heritage of the country.

The programme seeks the promotion of sustainable development policies in accordance with the territorial and cultural characteristics.

1.     Programme Coordination Unit

2.     Project of the Environmental Improvement of the Siwa Oasis  

3.     Risk Map Project of the Archaeological site of North Saqqara

4.     Project of Support to the Protected Area of Wadi El Rayan

5.     Project of Decision-making Support System in the planning of the use of water resources

Besides the programme there are other interventions: Sustainable Rural Development in Wadi El Rayan and Fayoum New Land
