Description of the project:

The project, as part of the ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM, promotes the transfer of technology and know-how to the archaeological management, particularly in the archaeological, environmental, operative and tourist aspects. In particular, the intervention sets up an environmental (anthropic) risk map of the North Saqqara site and, more specifically, of the archaeological and artistic aspects. The project is divided into two phases: the first is of a scientific nature (census and documentation of the structures in the area of Saqqara and their geo-reference); the second is of a managerial nature focusing on the management of the site with a particular interest in minimizing environmental and anthropic risks.
