Description of the project: The project tackles the question of poverty that mainly touches female head of families, focusing its resources and activities in the governorate of Minia, geographically considered of high priority. Besides a program of specific micro-credit for the improvement of the economic situation of beneficiary women, the project also involves activities aiming at stimulating a favorable change in the status of women in the society. In particular, the program proposes activities of public awareness of the entire community regarding specific questions hindering a complete integration of women in the social sphere and preventing their active participation.
