 Description of the project:
The project
aims at integrating the economic activities of the rural
communities in the area of Fayoum, giving special attention to
the environmental aspects, especially regarding the appropriate
use of water resources and soil. In general, the project
includes activities of agricultural production destined to
exportation and aiming at contributing to the process of poverty
alleviation, through increasing the incomes of 800 families of
the area.
In this scope, the NGO COSPE, already active in
the area for some time, contributes to the achievement of these
goals through undertaking projects aiming at improving
socioeconomic conditions of women. The project is functionally
connected to the
Italian-Egyptian Environmental Program funded through a
bilateral channel.
