|
Description of the project: |
|
The project aims at establishing an integrated
information system in the scope of: |
|
1. Facilitating the process of legal emigration and the
integration of immigrants; |
|
2. Improving the social conditions of Egyptian immigrants
through reinforcing the cultural and economic ties with their
country of origin; |
|
3. Canalizing human and financial resources resulting
from migration in order to benefit the development in
Egypt.
|
|
Through the integrated information system, it will be
possible to store, update and recover the useful data by means
of analysis and communication. The acquisition and systemization
of data will permit the localization of the Egyptian communities
abroad, enabling a better definition of their profiles and
consequently facilitating the process of contacting them. The
dissemination of information will allow the immigrants to
acquire information on the labor conditions abroad, the
procedures and opportunities of finding jobs and their rights
and duties. Moreover, through the information system, the
immigrants will be kept informed of socioeconomic developments
and investment opportunities in their native country. The
Egyptian counterpart will receive material and technical support
and will be adequately prepared to receive the entire know-how
of the project in a way that allows its sustainability after the
activities of technical assistance have elapsed.
