Objective:
Contributing to the conservation and protection of the
Egyptian cultural heritage
Description of the project:
The project transfers the techniques of innovative
restoration to the counterpart institutions and to the private
enterprises working in this sector, in the aim of contributing
promptly and efficiently to the control of the monumental
heritage of Old Cairo. The relevant activities are:
1. Professional training in the field of restoration of
Islamic monuments;
2. The Restoration, for didactic goals, of the monumental
complex of the Mewlewi Dervishes;
3. Research and scientific diffusion, also for didactic
ends, and raising the public awareness of the local community. |
