The
Egyptian Government has being committed for years in a continuous action
targeting vulnerable children. The initiative will be mainly implemented
in Cairo Governorate, where several national and international
organizations already support disadvantage people.
In line with
Government objectives, in partnership with the National Council for
Childhood and Motherhood - NCCM, the project aims at guaranteeing
efficient and effective protection for vulnerable children, through
capacity building and coordination between institutions and civil
society organizations, with special attention to subjects affected by
disabilities. Therefore, this initiative will promote and support
rehabilitation and integration of vulnerable children, improving
their families living conditions through micro credit scheme.
 In
order to ensure coherence and complementarity with the guidelines
identified in the "Egyptian National Strategy for the Protection,
Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Street Children", the Italian NGO
Ricerca e Cooperazione (Research and Cooperation) - RC has signed an
agreement with NCCM.
