In the
information technology era,
daily
lifestyle
has changed for most of the people.
Communication,
socio-economic development,
education:
several aspects of our life depend today on data transmission
and,
in order
to
be
competitive
in an
increasingly
demanding
market,
it
becomes more and more essential to be adequately updated.
To
enhance
the
invaluable
human
capital
of
this
country,
and
make it
compliable
with
both
regional and global new
requirements, the initiative
aims at
improving
the
quality
and effectiveness
of
technical
vocational training
for young
people,
through
the
introduction
of
information technology
in
educational curricula.
Beneficiaries
of the
initiative
will be
teachers
and
students
from ten
technical and professional
schools
located
in
different
Egyptian
Governorates.
In
addition,
the project
will
facilitate
the diffusion of computer technology among the population living
nearby
the schools involved in the project,
by
organizing
training
courses
after
school
hours.
In order to implement the initiative,
the
Egyptian Ministry
of
Communications and
Information Technology
will also benefit from
the
precious
collaboration with
Don
Bosco
Institute
in Cairo,
which has a long and sound
background in
technical
and
vocational
training. |
