Technical Education Cluster (TECs) for Employment in the Sector of MechanicsApplicant and Implementing Agency: Education Development Fund (EDF)

Enhancing human resources, improving professional skills and capacities, raising the role of young people by facilitating their entry into the labor market: Italy supports the plan for the reform of the education system recently launched by the Egyptian Government, with a focus on technical and vocational training.

Technical Education Cluster (TECs) for Employment in the Sector of Mechanics The two-year initiative aims at establishing a technical and professional training district in the sector of automotive-mechanics in Beni Suef.

The District will include a training school, an industrial-oriented university faculty and a vocational training center. The curricula offered by the training center have been defined on the basis of a feasibility study realized by FORMAPER, a company of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan.

In addition to teacher training, the intervention foreseen both the provision of laboratories equipment and teaching materials, while the Egyptian Government will provide the infrastructure works required for activating the district.
